Some members of the Vernon Memorial Healthcare Transplant Support Group met recently to present Cindy Herbst, Executive Director of the Restoring Hope Transplant House in Middleton, Wisconsin, with a check for $5,000.00 to support the house project, which when completed, will provide a home away from home for UW Health transplant candidates, transplant recipients, and their families. The funds were made possible as a result of a Support Transplant Walk that the group held on August 29th, 2009, and the generous support of Vernon Memorial Healthcare, seven additional corporate sponsors, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and numerous individuals.
